Cupcake Tote Bag

Posted by on Friday, January 25th, 2008

Shortly after I posted about the adorable little tissue bag, it sold. Go cupcake lovers! The owner of the tissue holder dropped me a note to let me know that she has added an adorable cupcake tote to the mix! You might have missed out on the tissue holder, but you won’t want to miss out on this tote!

You can find this tote at MercysMark for just $28.00.

“Here’s a tote bag that will have you achin’ with it’s cuteness! This tote is made completely from scratch by me. Created with the prettiest purple cotton it has five tumbling cupcakes down the left side. It’s lined in the cutest heart print and the hearts have an glittery iridescent shine to them to match the cupcakes on the outside. It has been interfaced with canvas (which gives it a great sturdiness and feel to it) and the bag closes with a magnetic snap. The straps are aslo interfaced and are very sturdy as well.

The tote has been serged and topstitched for added durability so this baby will be around for a long time! :)

MEASUREMENTS:
Width: 13 inches
Length: 10 inches
Length w/ Handle: 19 inches
Depth at Base: 4 inches”

Can someone hand me a tissue please? Of course, if you pulled one out with this handy tissue holder, you would be admired by all the cupcake fans! I think MercysMark states it nicely when she says:

“These ain’t yer grandma’s tissue holders!!!”

You got that right! You can get this beauty for only $5.00 right here! Better get it fast, I hear colds are going around!

“This pocket tissue holder has been created from Red and white hearts fabric and a solid red cotton that I adhered the CUTEST glitter cupcakes with heart sprinkles onto! The inside is lined with the hearts fabric. There is a piece of heavy interfacing on the back of the pack for extra sturdiness. The seams have also been serged so this little cutie should be around for quite awhile! :) Measures 3″x5″ and fits the standard pocket tissue pack.”

Frappucino Cupcakes

Posted by on Thursday, January 24th, 2008

My husband and I are Starbucks junkies. We love us some ‘bucks. And he is a Frapp boy. Although, he hates it when I advertise that fact. Imagine how thrilled we were to see Luki of Sinfully Sweet’s Frappucino Cupcakes! These cupcakes are not for the faint of heart. They are wicked busy and by the looks of it, super sweet as well. The recipe makes 42 cupcakes!!

Luki says, “This challenge was a labor of love. I did not get it right the first time… or the 2nd for that fact. But, I came through and it is in my mind PERFECT! Like its predecessor the Frappucino, this cupcake is best when served cold.”

And while I have not tried them yet, because I need to hit the grocery for some ingredients first. I plan to give them a go very soon. Please check out Sinfully Sweet for the recipe!

The Little Cupcake Company

Posted by on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I wasn’t sure how many UK-ers there were who read this blog but as I’m one of them I decided to write about the cupcake company I stumbled across today who are based in the UK.

The place in question is The Little Cupcake Company and I can tell you now, their cupcakes look delicious!! They bake their cupcakes to order and deliver in mainland UK. The above picture is taken from their Signature Collection (they also have a Chocolate Collection which looks equally yummy!!!).

They also cater for parties, corporate events, special occasions (anniversaries & new arrivals) and weddings, with a choice of boxed by the dozen, cupcake tiers and individually boxed. Prices range from £12-£48 for a dozen cupcakes (they do have a minimum order quantity but it depends on the package you have) and delivery is from £15.

If there is anyone from the UK on here, I don’t know about you but I will definitely be hinting at the boyfriend for some cupcakey goodness on my birthday!!!

Edit to add: I just tried to send them a message and they are currently closed for redevelopment! Deliveries will re-start on 6th February but you can still contact them and they will get back to you either by phone or email in the week beginning 28th January.

Knit your own, cupcake!

Posted by on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I have been itching to take up knitting and this adorable pattern I just ran across may just put me over the edge! The author at Blah, Blah, Blahhhg developed this seamless cupcake pattern, here is a bit of what she has to say:

A cupcake! Seamless! How can you resist? It can also be converted from a plush toy to a paperweight, with the addition of a round stone in the stuffing.

Just think of the possibilities, so many different ‘flavors’ of yarn, a cupcake paper weight, add some jingle bells inside for a cupcake rattle, the list is endless with a creative mind!

Hey everyone! My name is Vanessa and I am a new blogger here at All Things Cupcake. I am so excited to be able to blog with these awesome ladies. I am gonna start you off with something that I have been drooling at for a while..

See those cupcakes, don’t they look just good enough to eat?? They look so real! These are mini cupcake picture or place card holders by JenniBOriginals for only $5.00! Buy any amount and put your family and friends in it!

“This darling little cupcake can be used as so many things! It can be used as a place card holder at a bridal shower, baby shower, or birthday party and let the guests take it home as a favor. You could even use it as a picture holder.

The cupcake base is white and then colored (and VERY realistic) icing is added in pink, white, or green. Your cupcake will come with multicolored sprinkles unless specified to have it made without sprinkles and in one of the above colors unless specified. Then a hook is placed into the icing and you can add a hanger or ribbon for your tree or anything else you desire.

Cupcake is the size of a mini cupcake. “

Cappuccino Cupcakes

These gorgeous cupcakes are the creation of Steph of A Whisk and A Spoon. Steph has pure talent when it comes to taking cupcake porn. All of her cupcakes look amazing. She comes up with killer flavor combos for her cupcakes. And trust me, they taste as good as they look.

Of these beauties, she said :

“This is a simple little cupcake (no filling this time), but it has great flavor, thanks to a double shot of espresso in the batter. A little bit Kahlúa soaking syrup boosts the flavor and keeps them really moist. The “foam” on top is just whipped cream, sweetened and flavored with an extra splash of Kahlúa. And finally, because I like cinnamon and coffee, I sprinkled a bit on top.

Oh, Kitson, how I love thee

Posted by on Sunday, January 20th, 2008

Last year during an impromptu trip to Los Angeles, I begged my husband to go to Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood. A strip of overpriced boutiques and restaurants, I was in Hollywood Fan-Girl Heaven. I felt like such a starlet walking into Kitson, which was obviously my first stop. T-Shirts and the like rang in at a whopping $65+ so I sadly left empty handed, but the buzz in that place was that of over the top girlyness and decadence. I loved it! You don’t have to hit the streets of LA to get in on the Kitson Goodness though!

This pair of mittens will surely get you through the remaining winter months in sassy cupcake style! $48 at shopkitson.com
