Hello there sweeties! I am sad to say but this may be my last post here on All Things Cupcake. I have loved working here at ATC but we are currently having some issues and I may not be on the payroll anymore. So after almost 4 years here, I am going to do what I always wanted to do- I am going to make a post about my own cupcake stuff in my Etsy shop! It is called StayHomeCupcake and it is full sweets and treats. I have a passion for crafts and sweet crafts are my utmost love!

So stay in touch cupcake fans! Find me (StayHomeCupcake) on Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter. Thanks for the past 4 years!

Are these beautiful, or what? Positively dreamy.
These Rainbow Cloud Cupcakes are available at Flour and Sun Bakery of Pleasantville, New York.
I’ll admit–I’m not sure how they did that frosting.

These cupcakes by The Adventures of Sugarbelle are seriously the cutest Easter cupcakes I have ever seen! At first I thought the head of the chick was a macaron but after scrolling down further and looking at the image closer I realized they are little chick cookie cupcakes! They cupcakes look easy to put together but I have a feeling this would be an all day decorating event so if you’re planning on these better start soon!

I came across this recipe for steam cupcakes and I very curious about them. They are actually called Apam dot to which translates to dotted steam cupcakes. According to the description, these little cupcakes have a soft, airy, spongy cake texture. The cupcakes only have seven ingredients, including the filling which seems fitting since the little polkadots on these cupcakes are too cute to be covered in frosting.

Each Sunday I like to flip through the Parade Magazine that comes inside the Sunday newspaper with the coupons and flyers. There is usually a good recipe or two inside. This week, in preparation for Easter there is a vanilla cupcake recipe and three Easter cupcake decorating ideas. I think I have seen versions of these over the years but sometimes it’s good to see an old idea again. Personally I still love the “hot chick” because it looks too easy to mess up!

I haven’t really kept up with college basketball, but I believe the Indiana Hoosiers are in first place? Either way, they are something to celebrate, and Indianapolis’s own cupcakery, The Flying Cupcake, is doing it in style with these clever Hoosier cupcakes. Very cute and likely quite delicious. It’s enough to make me watch college basketball!

I found these creative Bunny’s Carrot Garden Easter Cupcakes on Wilton’s website. I know filled cupcakes are very popular right now and I think these cupcakes would be a huge hit at any Easter celebration! Most of the reviews say that they are easy to make and guest liked them.

Happy Spring! It seems the cool weather has every one, even Mother Nature thinking it’s still winter. Today happens to also be Macaron Day. As a dessert lover and a fan of all things Parisian, I love macarons. I dare to ask, have you noticed how they are kind of the new cupcake, Paper Source has a good selection of macaron gift items! If you are like me and love both macarons and cupcakes and of course you love spring, you could make these macaron cupcakes like Polka Dot Bride made! They are colorful, springy, and the perfect way to enjoy both treats!

There are so many different options for St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes. At first it seems like the classic dyed green is the only option but when you start thinking about it there are Irish car bomb cupcakes, mint variations of cupcakes, lucky charms cupcakes, and these Emerald Isle Cupcakes from Gooseberry Patch. Instant pistachio pudding mix gives the cake portion their green coloring and a few drops off food coloring help add a darker festive green to the frosting.

The past few years when it’s time for St. Patrick’s Day I start seeing the McDonald’s commercials for their Shamrock Shake. The mint flavored, bright green colored shake is the inspiration behind these shamrock milkshake cupcakes from Better Homes and Gardens. Buttermilk and creme de menthe give these cupcakes their minty milkshake flavoring.

This has to be one of our favorite sayings here at All Things Cupcake! And now for only about $5, you can wear it on your nails. Fun? Yes! Quirky? Yes, that too! These decals are being sold on Ebay from seller yr_nails_online and they have many, many different designs. It seems that decal nail art is very much in (sweet) style!
How to apply:
1. Paint your nails with a clear base coat or a colour of your choice
2. Cut the Nail Decal to size allowing for some excess to trim
3. Soak the Nail Decal in warm water for 30-60 seconds
4. Remove from water, pat dry on a tissue and peel design from backing paper
5. Position onto nail and smooth down with finger and trim excess with nail scissors
6. Apply generous coats of clear top coat to protect your beautiful new design
7. Enjoy :)

It’s been a while since a cupcake flavor has surprised and delighted me the way this does: White Russian and Banana Bourbon. Oh. My. How many can I eat and still drive home? I found these delectable creations at Silver Spoon Bakery of East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

As much as I love all the crazy and unique cupcake flavors my favorite cupcake is usually a simple vanilla cupcake. I noticed She Makes and Bakes blog post for the perfect vanilla cupcake and it peaked my interest. My favorite vanilla cupcakes usually have real vanilla beans in them in addition to vanilla extract so we will see how these, which only call for extract, turn out. I haven’t tried these cupcakes yet as I decided to give up desserts for lent but as soon as Easter arrives I’m going to test these out. Click “continue reading” for She Makes and Bakes’s recipe. I love using a little clipart to brighten up my computer projects and what could be more perfect than cupcake clipart? These totally sweet sets are available from Etsy seller, Dream Like Magic. Their shop is filled with over 200 graphic designs sets to be used for cards, invitations, Facebook covers, scrapbooking, stickers and Etsy banners. I bought a banner from them a few years ago for my own Etsy shop (Stay Home Cupcake) and I could not be happier with it. The only problem now is that Dream Like Magic has so many new choices, I may have to buy an update!

In the northeast US right now, the weather’s not so hot. In many places, it’s a downright slushy mess. That’s why Wicked Good Cupcakes of Cohasset, Massachusetts has put some cute little galoshes on their Monday cupcakes. They sure brighten a rainy day, don’t you think?

My sister and I have a weird love of cute monsters. If she was home I would definitely make her cupcakes and top them with these DIY free printable monster Valentine’s Day flags and toppers. I like how the monsters make this download a little bit different and more boy friendly. Ellinee of Handcraft Your Life made a whole party kit so don’t forget the candy wrappers and stickers!

I have a ten year old cousin that is obsessed with pugs. She has pug clothing and pug stuffed animals and repeatedly tries to talk her dad into getting a pug. I think she would love these pug cupcakes! I on the other hand am not crazy about pugs so I’ll ask you cupcake fans, are these pug cupcakes “pugly” or “pawfectly cute?”

I love how CupCake FabuLous decorated these Valentine’s Day cupcakes. Does anyone know what decorating tip they used? CupCake FabuLous is a family-owned cupcakery that has been serving the Dallas area since 2007. They also make twinkies! They’re enough to make a person move to Texas!

There is still plenty of time left to find something sweet for your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day! How about this adorable neclace from from Etsy seller, The Wicked Shop. It comes to us from Canada for only $9.20. This pendant started out as a plain ole Scrabble tile, but The Wicked Shop turned it into something special. Someone please let me honey know that I would love to receive this next week!

A few years ago we shared these chocolate avocado cupcakes from The Vegetarian Times with you. The recipe sounded interesting and I have always been curious to see what a chocolate avocado cupcake would taste like but I never got around to buying all the ingredients. Actually I have never bought tofu so I was excited to find another chocolate avocado cupcake recipe. This recipe is NOT vegan but it does use lots of ingredients that I tend to have on hand like Greek yogurt and buttermilk. These chocolate Avocado cupcakes by Itsy Bitsy Foodies are officially back on my “to bake” list, are they on yours? Have you tried them?

I recently read about Chasing Delicious’s blog as part of The Sweetest Occasion’s 2013 up and coming blog list from Alt Summit. Every one of Chasing Delicious’s recipes looks amazing. These rum caramel chocolate cinnamon cupcakes are complicated, requiring making three different parts, but the picture makes me think they would be worth all the work. I really wish I was one of his friends he talked about in the blog post and I could have tried one of these cupcakes!

Mini Football Cupcakes are the perfect dessert for a Superbowl party tomorrow. The cupcakes are festive and they are mini which means people are more likely to take them. I think people are more likely to take mini desserts because they don’t feel as guilty eating a small portion. On a night like Superbowl Sunday when there are tons of foods and desserts at parties I think you are better off brining a small bite sized dessert that way people can sample other things.
Project Domestication made these mini football cupcakes a few years ago but they are still one of my favorite football cupcakes because they are so easy to frost and decorate. Her cupcakes are chocolate-mint flavored but you can make any chocolate flavor you or your friends like!
