Adelle sent us these pictures from the recent art exhibition they had at the school she is a teacher at. It was cupcake themed! The first picture is a giant cupcake Adelle made out of paper mache. The second picture is of some real cupcakes made by the food technology staff, which were eaten on opening night.

Laura, an ATC Reader, went to the Los Angeles County Fair this year and was pleasantly surprised to see this new and HUGE cupcake kiosk there!  They also had smaller ones located throughout the fair (our fair is ridiculously enormous and fantastic!!).  The booth was absolutely adorable decorated in pink and black…kind of a Frenchy look.  They offered muffin-sized cupcakes for $4.25 and mini-sized ones for $2 in vanilla, chocolate or red velvet and then your choice of sprinkles. Besides their outrageously priced cupcakes they had several cute t-shirts available too.

Halloween is nearly here, and let’s face it: where any sort of party catering is concerned, we’ve all got a friend who is craftier, more talented in the kitchen and better able to work within limitations than we are. Fibers artist Mindy Sue Meyers had her ASU graduate thesis show opening on  Sept. 22 called “Stitchalicious”.  She created delicious soft sweets and skillfully crafted domesticities like aprons and faux-foods including cupcakes.
