Are you a Lady Gaga fan? I feel as though she’s like a scary movie that you can’t help but watch even though you know you will be scared but in the case of Lady Gaga you know she’s going to have something crazy on!
I’m impressed by these Lady Gaga inspired cupcakes sent in by an ATC reader! Each cupcake is designed after a Lady Gaga outfit and I think the cupcakes match wonderfully with Lady Gaga’s unique style. My personal favorite is the Kermit the Frog Lady Gaga cupcake. To view each cupcake with it’s correlating outfit head over to C for Cupcake Cupcakery’s post!
If I didn’t already have my custom cupcake Toms I would definitely buy a pair of these Converse shoes! With the Converse One Builder you can create custom shoes! The best part is they have two cupcake patterns to chose from. I made a sample pair, shown above, to see what the process is like.
You start by choosing from one of over 39 styles, note that each style is a different price. Next you start picking colors and patterns for the different 14 parts of the shoe. For my shoes I chose the Skidgrip CVO Canvas and the brown cupcake print, once completed this pair of shoes would cost $62.00. There is also a grey cupcake print and you can even add a tag to you shoes!
Artist Jonathan Arras has combined the world of cupcakes with the world of dragons in his watercolor art. If you’re a fan of mythical creatures, then head on over to his webpage, Spirals in Love. He says that some of the common themes in his artwork are “delirious love, loneliness, and giant desserts”. I don’t know about you, but I really love the giant dessert part, especially when it involves cupcakes, as this painting does below. His work has also been featured on All Things Cupcake before, so be sure and check that out as well.
You all may not know this, but I work for Jenni Bick Bookbinding, an Internet company that sells a variety of items from Italian leather photo albums, moleskine notebooks, day planners, calendars and so much more! And every once in a while we get in a fabulous cupcake item, and this one takes the (cup)cake.
We recently got in our 2012 Calendars, and lo and behold there it was, Martha Stewart Cupcakes 2012 Wall Calendar. Anything of Martha’s is visually stunning and very well done, this calendar is no exception. It was designed and put together with us cupcake bakers in mind.
They’re two elements that I absolutely love about this calendar– At the bottom of every month/page there is a baking tip or fact. One of my favorite tips is –Save Butter Wrappers for Greasing Pans, rather than discard the wrapper after you’ve used a stick of butter, stash it in the freezer inside a re-sealable plastic bag. When you need to butter a baking dish take out the wrapper, let if soften slighty, and use.
The second element that I love, is the recipe cards that are provided for the scrumptious cupcakes displayed within the calendar.
You could give Martha Stewart a run for her money with all the knowledge that this calendar provides.
Oh Boy, do I have a craving for cupcakes now!
Remember last year when we showed you Pottery Barn Teen’s Cupcake costume? Well they are offering it again this year and it’s available in teens, kids, toddlers and baby! To add to the Halloween fun they also have this cupcake doll costume so that the 18 inch doll can wear the cupcake costume! The outfit is on sale for $19.99 and the doll which is part of the girl doll collection is $39.00.
Do you know a dog worthy of the royal cupcake treatment? Check out these offerings from The Sassy Pup!
These cupcake collars would make a fun and simple craft project for your kids, and would add a nice fall touch to your next gathering. Simply choose a template (most are less than $1), print it onto white cardstock, laminate it, and cut it out. Then place the cupcake into the hole and use some tape to secure the collar to the cupcake.
I just found this award-winning cupcake at Flickr, and though it is titled “Self-Portrait,” it looks alot like someone else I know! This cupcake was created by Tania of Crazy Cupcakes and the photo was taken by EpicureanPiranha.
In Southington, Connecticut, Frosted Couture Cupcakes has just opened. You won’t find names like “chocolate” and “vanilla” here. Their cupcakes are all named after famous designers. You will encounter flavors such as “Cannoli Klein”, “Chocolate Chip Gucci Dough”, and “Rock and Raspberry Republic”. They even have a fall collection with flavors like “Apple and Olivia” and “Cole Haan Cinnabon”. These cupcakes not only look tasty, but they are also exquisitely designed.
If you’re dressing a baby girl to Trick or Treat this fall, here’s another option for you! BabiesRUs offers this cupcake ensemble, designed to fit toddlers 9 to 12 months old. The costume costs $19.79, and the best part? It’s machine-washable!
Happy first day of Fall! This year I’m really looking forward to the cool weather, warm colors, and seasonal foods. Last week I picked up some apples at a local farmers market and I’m already craving more. I know I’ll have to buy more because I really want to bake these caramel apple pie cupcakes that I saw yesterday. As an apple and a cupcake lover each component sounds delicious, from the cinnamon cupcake and apple pie filling, to the caramel frosting. The Craving Chronicles came up with these festive cupcakes and the recipe can be found on the original post.
Cupcakes are certainly in style for weddings these days, and I love this idea for serving them. With a cupcake bar, guests can come up with their own combinations of cupcake, frosting, and toppings.
This cupcake bar had yellow, devil’s food and carrot cupcakes, chocolate, buttercream and coconut frosting, and toppings like sprinkles, crushed almond cookies, mini chocolate chips, walnuts and toasted coconut. What a fun and delicious idea for a wedding, or even a birthday party or baby shower!
Is it to early or have you started thinking about what you and your little ones are going to be for Halloween? Kohl’s already has Halloween items in their stores and online. I noticed this cupcake costume for little girls that costs $40.49. Only two sizes are left, 3-4 and 5-6 so if you’re thinking about ordering this, don’t wait!
These treats are a fun twist on the traditional funfetti cupcake. Grab a box of confetti cake mix and add pink lemonade drink mix, applesauce, lemon zest and some sprinkles and you’ve got a great way to end your summer (or begin your fall if you live in the north like I do).
I have been admiring Evajuliet’s Etsy shop for some time now. The Les Petites Douceurs print has been on the top of my favorite items list. Recenlty I have added the La vie est belle i” pinback button badge set to my wish list. This set of eight buttons that costs $13.00 has everything I love, bunting, cupcakes, polka dots, and all in pastel colors! If only I had a need for buttons I’d have already bought them!
Toppers are a great way to dress up a cupcake fast! There are so many different ones you can choose from, especially from Bake It Pretty
I am a fan of Bake It Pretty on FaceBook and I saw this great post today in my feed about these cupcake toppers —
Here are a few other toppers that I think are cupcake topping worthy as well!

This was an exciting giveaway this week and now it’s time to announce our cupcake tower winner from Penguin Cupcake Towers! *Drum Roll Please!*
Our winner is…
I’m making cupcakes for 80 guests, for a friend’s parents 25th wedding anniversary. I have never made that many cupcakes before, and I agreed before I thought about it, I realised I’d need something to display them, so all day today I’ve been hunting for cake stands and D.I.Y seems the best option. I was planning on decorating each tier with a pretty silver wrapping paper and I found adorable 25th Anniversary ribbon in white and silver which I’d line the edge of the tiers with, I’d probably top it of with some white roses dotted among the cupcakes, because flowers and cake = perfection :). Then I saw this contest posted on Facebook and thought it must be my destiny to enter!
Congrats! Please email us at [email protected]. Thanks so much to all our sweet fans that entered this giveaway. And many thanks also to Penguin Cupcake Towers for sponsoring this giveaway.

Let all watch and see what cupcake goodness they can come up with!

CoCo Levine, Cupcake Queen: Fabulous Adventures in Cooking, Crafting, and Friendship is a story about a little girl that lives inside a cupcake. This children’s book includes more than just a story, it also activities like crafts and baking recipes. Growing up my mom always incorporated us kids into the cooking and baking. Even if it was small jobs like pouring or mixing we were asked to assist. I like that this book encourages involving kids in the activities of the kitchen at an early age. I also like that it starts creating the love of cupcakes early on! The book is available on Amazon for $11.99.
Taste of Home has a free monthly cupcake newsletter where each month you will be emailed a new cupcake recipe. I haven’t signed up yet but I have feeling they will be themed like the the Memorial Day Ice Cream cupcakes we shared with you
It went from being 90 degrees one day to 60 the next here in South Carolina. I can’t help but want to throw on a scarf and enjoy a cup of tea and eat a cupcake. This poster that says “All I really want to do all day is just eat cake” is so true for how I feel today. The poster is by Jessica Ford Design and costs 40.00 euro. Also I know it says cake but it shows a cupcake and really who doesn’t want to eat cake or cupcakes all day?
