Seriously. Could it get any better than this? These delicacies are courtesy of My Delight Cupcakery of Ontario, California.
Caution: do not visit their website if you are hungry. Delightful indeed! And dangerously delicious!

My friend showed me this dress on the Black Milk Clothing website and I have got to ask you guys, as the ATC readers, what do you think of this cupcake animal dress by designer James Lillis? Cupcake bottoms with animal heads make up this skin tight $99.00 dress and I’m not sure I would spend the money on this dress. Based off the model it looks like the dress is intended for a youthful crowd but then I wonder what young shopper has $99.00 to spend on a dress. Would you buy this dress? If you did buy it, where would you wear it?
Halloween is coming up, and so is the fall camping season! Both are a perfect excuse to make these “Just Bugging You” cupcake cones from the Betty Crocker website. You can use the ideas pictured, or you can choose different types of bugs or outdoor creatures to make.
If you have gone to a Pampered Chef party you know the best part of the party is getting to try their recipes. I saw this recipe for White Chocolate Cupcakes with Truffle Filling on their website. I’m sure you could substitute the white chocolate base for any cupcake recipe and you can add your favorite truffle flavor to the center. I have not tried this recipe but I think the already liquid chocolate center of the truffle would result in a liquid chocoalte center in your cupcake. My guess is that it would work better than the Hershey’s Kiss recommendation I blogged about back in June. Have you tried putting truffles or kisses into cupcakes, if so did either work?
If you are in search of reasonably priced baking items then click on over to All Things Cupcake sponsor Just… Sugar Coat It. It is a one stop shop for all your baking needs. From tulip cups to fondant to cupcake stands, they have it all! Although I must admit, I do have a favorite. Check out this adorable set of 5 mustache cookie cutters for $14.50. How cute would cupcakes with mustache cookies on top of the icing be? These can also be used with fondant too. Perfect for your special guy’s birthday or Father’s Day. Just… Sugar Coat It also has a baking blog with lots of helpful tips and decorating ideas. Also, be sure to check out our previous posts about some great mustache cupcake ideas.
Normally I try to enjoy the season we are currently in, if it’s summer I try to enjoy the summer, not wish for cold weather. When it’s winter I try to embrace the weather not beg for it to be flip flop season but this year I’m with all the other people asking “is it fall yet?” Here in North Carolina it’s barely cooled down and I am ready for the cooler weather. I saw World Market has a Fall Harvest section on their website which includes two cupcake kits! The kits include a chocolate turkey cupcake kit or a pumpkin pie cupcake kit. The turkey kit which costs $7.99 and makes 12 turkeys includes the mix, frosting, eyes, nose, wrappers, and feather picks. The pumpkin pie kit costs $5.99 and makes 8 pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon frosting. The kits are the perfect way to enjoy those delicious fall flavors!
These are pretty funny. Love Marge’s hair.
It’s hard to believe we’re still making Simpsons cupcakes–the beloved animated family has been around since 1987. I remember going to Simpsons themed parties when I was a kid, and that was quite a while ago. But I guess as long as we’re making Simpsons episodes, we’ll be making Simpsons cupcakes.
I know it seems early to be talking about Christmas but many of the stores started their Christmas displays in August! Kohl’s may not have their displays up in their stores yet but they are online and they have cupcakes! My favorite has to be this mini tree skirt for $14.99 and this light up snowglobe for only $6.74. Gotta start making my Christmas list!
Crazy 8 has all their graphic tees on sale for a crazy deal price of $4.99! It’s a great price, specially if you are looking for a cute cupcake tee for a little girl. They have three shirts to choose from, a fun tee that features a cupcake and sprinkle raindrops. Another shirt shows a little girl eating a cupcake and reads “life is sweet.” The last shirt is a basic “I heart Cupcakes” tee. At the crazy deal price of $4.99 and everyday $5.00 shipping you can’t go wrong buying one of these shirts!
This past weekend my mom and I thought it would be fun to take the dog to the beach. Turns out in North Carolina dogs aren’t allowed on the beach until after September 30th not after Labor Day as we were thinking. Poor planning on my part as we were two weeks too early and ended up taking the dog for a two hour car ride. We managed to turn our failed beach day around with cupcakes! We stopped by Coastal Cupcakes in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and picked out five cupcakes to take home. We brought back the oreo cheesecake, pink lemonade, red velvet, coconut, and key lime. My favorites were the red velvet and the Oreo but all of the cupcakes were really good so I would definitely recommend trying Coastal Cupcakes if you are Wrightsville Beach or Wilmington!
My mom and I were in Gymboree today looking for a baby gift and we came across the cutest cupcake baby items! The cupcake bib might be my favorite thing we saw and it’s only $4.99! I also liked the $4.99 two pack of socks and the “cute” little bodysuit for $9.99. The Gymboree website has lots of other fun baby cupcake clothes so check it out!
Who doesn’t want to drift off to sweet dreams atop a personalized cupcake pillowcase? This snazzy pillowcase is available from Etsy seller The Trendy Butterfly for $20 plus shipping. The image is printed on the pillowcase, which is wash and dry friendly! And there’s a discount if you buy three or more! Happy shopping!
Everywhere I go I am seeing pumpkins, scarecrows and candy corn so it must be time to get ready for Halloween! Over the years we have posted quite a few cupcake costumes for adults, kids and baby and finally we have one to post for your puppy too! Kohl’s has this sweet costume for $25. Or your pup can sport this Katy Perry look-alike costume for $26. A bit much for me but so hilarious! And when you dress up Fido as a cupcake, make sure to send us a photo!
Suzanne, of Kokocooks, just threw a Winnie the Pooh Birthday Party, which featured beehive cupcakes! Love how the cupcake stand, and even the cupcake wrappers, perfectly complement the cupcake design. (You’ll want to visit her blog post and also check out the super-clever “acorn bites.”) Bravo Suzanne!
While flipping through Food Network Magazine I saw a fun Target ad for some of their Halloween products, shown in the ad was Target’s two tiered, steel wire Halloween spider web cupcake stand. For only $19.99 this unique cupcake stand is a fun and festive display piece. I think I might be buying one of these for myself I like it so much!
With fall on its way, I’m beginning to get excited about all the different flavors that go along with this season. Pumpkins, raisins, apples, sweet potatoes, pecans, caramel, and many other lovely-smelling foods that I am forgetting. I came across this interesting recipe for Carrot Oatmeal Raisin cupcakes. Go ahead and bake some delightful-smelling cupcakes to kick-start the fall season!
I’ve just fallen in love with these. Maybe because my husband just made me watch a Hell on Wheels marathon. But nevertheless, these cupcakes are pretty cool! These western-themed treats are courtesy of Cake Conspiracy of The Woodlands, Texas. Their slogan is “Slowly taking over the world with frosting…” Giddy-up!
Check out this beautiful new Cupcakes and Tea Charm Bracelet from Lottie of London. Clare Lewis is a jewelry designer from South London. All of her jewelry is handcrafted using polymer clay.
Your kids will be pleasantly surprised when they take a bite of these cupcake nuggets. These are certainly not what they look like. They are made of cupcake pieces “breaded” with more cupcake and deep fried. And the sauce? No, that is not barbecue sauce. It is a raspberry sauce. Yum!
It’s that time of year again–dirty cleats in the trunk, grass stains in the washing machine, and blankets and lawn chairs on the sidelines. What better way to make the most of it than with soccer cupcakes? Here are some stellar examples from around the Soccer world. Which one’s your fave?
How cute are these baby shower cloud cupcakes! They are simple and easy to make and look so sweet. The cupcakes, as seen on a muse studio, fit in perfectly with the shower theme.
Okay, we covered Westie Cupcakes, so let’s be fair and show off some Dalmatian love as well. The top photo belongs to Cupcakes and Recipes and makes excellent use of Raisinetes. The middle photo belongs to Penny Pressed. And the bottom belongs to DaisyAnneCreates.
Sometimes it’s the sweet and simple things that really catch my eye on Etsy. And today this whimsical mini cupcake coin purse is calling to me! Misala’s shop is filled with adorable treasures and I am already thinking they would be perfect stocking stuffers for everyone in my family. Make sure to look at her Russian doll pouches too. So stinkin’ cute!
Once again, the Huffington Post has some good ideas for the amateur cupcake artists out there. Are you ever intimidated by the idea of frosting your cupcakes? I don’t think I would have ever considered trying to swirl together two different colors of frosting, but now that I read this post, I’m not exactly sure what I was scared of.
Just pick two colors, get two piping bags and fill each one half-full with one of the colors, flatten the bags and stack them on top of one another, place them inside a large piping bag fitted with the decorating tip, and squeeze!
