Kohls has quite a few cupcake items.  I thought I would share two that are fitting for this time of year.  One is Cupcake Fairy Wings which would make a cute last minute costume for any little girl.  Before you run out to the store be warned that this is an online exclusive and the wings cost $17.99

The second item is a girls cupcake T-shirt that is on sale for $6.30, so sizes are limited.  The shirt is pink with the three cupcakes decorated with a ghost, candy corn, and spider on top of each.

Chapel Hill, NC is home to Festifall, which was just a few short weeks ago.  This was where I came across Cuckoo Boo.  Cuckoo Boo creates one of a kind hair accessories, magnets, badge clips, pacifier clips, chokers, and snack bags.  Everything is in fun and bright patterns and prints.  What caught my eye and drew me into the tent was of course cupcakes! On their etsy site there are a lot of the cupcake related items that I saw at Festifall.

I a big fan of presents and birthdays which is why I secretly love those belated birthday gifts that surprise you when they show up.  I had a small package waiting for me yesterday when I go done with classes and one of the items inside was a charm for my Pandora bracelet.  The popular Pandora bracelets are the new version of charm bracelets.  The charm I received was of course a cupcake! Just yesterday, California was suffering through another 90-100 degree Indian summer day.  The last throes of summer refusing to leave.  In a dramatic 24 hour reversal, it is now a brisk 60 degrees; the wind that has been absent for so long is back.  Fall is here, and winter is just around the corner.

Recently I ordered this lovely purse from Etsy artisan CupcaxDesigns for a best friend and cupcake admirer.  Well, when the cupcake bag came I had a hard time giving it away! It was well-stitched and the fabric coordinated beautifully.   Although it was difficult, I did send the bag to my friend because I knew she would appreciate it just as much as I did.

I started today by simply typing “cupcake jewelry” into Etsy’s search bar and it quickly came back with over 3,000 items! After a narrower search I found some nice crafts to share.

The majority of cupcake jewelry on Etsy is made from polymer clay. This medium is very versatile and can be molded into the most realistic looking cupcakes as seen with this Strawberry Frosted Cupcake Bracelet made by ScrumpiousDoodle.

I have also fallen in love with artisans who use glass in their cupcake jewelry. These earrings, made by Hare, are glass lampwork beads with sterling silver Swarovski crystals on top for cherries.

I also found quite a few sterling silver cupcake jewelry items. This bracelet was made by ClareElizabethDesign and she used light pink rose quartz beads with the little cupcake.

Modern Materials Tray, Placemats, and Napkins!

A favorite store is closing, and it is a heartbreaking reason why. Modern Materials is an AMAZING business started from scratch by Sheri and her husband. They had a beloved store in Salt Lake City, which closed due to Sheri’s battle with cancer. About a month ago, they reopened a store in Sugarhouse called Habitat by Modern Materials, which is AWESOME!! Sheri donated these fun napkins and tablecloths for the giveaway! Lyndsey added a bright orange tray she bought there, which is great to display cupcakes.
