Vintage inspired apron in a very fun sweet treats pattern with yummy cakes, cupcakes, and presents featured with glitter accents right on the fabric.
The apron is accented with delicate teal gingham fabric for the waistband, ties and pocket.
The sweet treats apron is the perfect item to give you a little pick me up in the kitchen while you are making dinner any day of the week or special occasion.
It would also make a great gift for your friend or relative who likes to spend time in the kitchen baking or entertaining.
A ATC reader submitted this picture of her daughter’s 1st birthday cake…a giant cupcake cake made entirely out of cupcakes! A friend of her husband, who happens to be a pastry chef, made this cake for them. There are 60 cupcakes under gobs and gobs of yummy buttercream frosting. Since her daughter’s birthday party theme was cupcakes, this was absolutely perfect.
What do you think it’s like to be Cakespy and to be so awesome that someone as talented at Naomi of Flickr fame hello naomi make these adorable birthday cupcakes for you? I bet it’s pretty rad. (Do you think I’ll get kicked off ATC for saying I like the donut best?) Happy birthday Cakespy and thank you, thank you Naomi for existing on this planet!

Q- I am baking two cakes for the party on Sunday and want to use butter cream but its going to be 85 out and I do not want a big puddle of icing on the cakes.
Anyone know a good buttercream recipe that holds up great in the heat?

Woah, it’s been a while, huh? Well, I’m back and I’m bearing pretty awesome news. Circa Ceramics, a Chicago-based ceramics team, fired me these amazing Bake and Destroy baking bowls and asked me to master the art of baking in ceramic vessels. I’m happy to report all went well and I’ll be posting a how-to video which will also include a recipe I developed just for Nancy and Andy- Ceramics Ceramics Cannoli Cupcakes. That’s right, the Quad-C.
No word yet on whether or not Bake and Destroy bowls will be made available to the public, but keep an eye on the CC Etsy shop for other baking vessels and dinnerware. You really can’t appreciate how beautiful their work is until you’ve picked it up and held it, but I’m sure this post will get some comments from faithful customers of theirs.
With all the green-this and eco-friendly- that what could be greener than reusable cupcake baker-inners? And what could make for a fancier presentation? Like I said, I’ll give you the recipe and all the ins and out of baking in ceramics in my video this week end. If you’re just dying to hear me talk you can watch my stupid “nutritious cupcakes” video I made for one of my classes.

Q- I too am looking for a wholesale source for the bright colored cupcake liners. Although the liners that confectionary house carries are exactly what I am looking for, they are a retail store, not wholesale. I am looking for a wholesale source for cooking/baking classes. Would you happen to have any further information?

In Abra-Catastrophe, it’s Timmy’s “Fairy-Versary” and Cosmo and Wanda are celebrating Timmy’s year-long secrecy about their existence by throwing a party with a guest list that includes Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, and the iron-pumping Jorgen Von Strangle. Magical gifts abound, but the most precious of all is a cupcake that promises the eater one “rule-free” wish. Timmy’s teacher Mr. Crocker, ever obsessed with proving the existence of fairies, senses the presence of great magic and tries to claim the cupcake for himself when Timmy misplaces it. While Timmy tracks the lost cupcake, a common citizen, Bippy the monkey, and even Mr. Crocker manage to steal nibbles of the magical cupcake and end up jeopardizing the entire future of the universe. Can Timmy save the world by exploiting the power of truth?

Q- I am looking for a cute cupcake idea! My daughters 5th birthday is in July, and I have picked a Lemon and Lime theme. Not sure “WHY”, but I did! I fell in love with the invitations and just happened to find the most fabulous Kate Mack swimsuit with lemon and lime slices all over! So, now I have been trying to find a cute cupcake idea. I would like for the cupcakes to look like lemon and lime slices, or something like that!
