Can you guess who this is? **CONTEST**

Posted by on Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Today I thought I would bring about a cupcake trivia game.

With her blog being clicked on millions of times it should not take many true cupcake fans long  to figure it out! When you think you know who she is, in comments do not type her name, just a fact you can find out about her. If her name is typed in, that would pretty much VOID the contest.

On March 15th I will reveal who it is and get Jess the owner of this blog to randomly draw for a baking kit from my webstore. Valued at $50.00 retail.

Sound like fun? Oh yeah! Happy Baking and Good Cupcakin’ Luck ;o)

Getting MORE out of Fall

Getting MORE out of Fall

October Specials and Promotions at MORE

Chicago, Ill. (October 2008) — Just when Chicago thought the couture cupcakes at MORE (One E. Delaware St., Chicago; 312-951-0001) couldn’t get any better, owner Patty Rothman has whipped up some fun promotions to accompany her delicious one-of-a-kind treats. During the month of October, the customers of MORE not only have a chance to sample an array of autumn-themed cupcakes to celebrate the beginning of fall, but they are invited to participate in exciting events.

About MORE

MORE, located at One East Delaware Place at the intersection of State Street and Delaware in Chicago, is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday. For more information, contact MORE at (312) 951-0001 or send an e-mail to [email protected]. Please visit www.morecupcakes.com.

“Help MORE, Hope MORE
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and with one in eight women still being diagnosed with breast cancer, MORE hopes to use sweetness in the fight against cancer. On Saturday, October 4, MORE?s glass wall will feature the special “Hope MORE” cupcake, a treat worthy of this cause, a White Velvet cake base with luscious pink vanilla butter cream, garnished with pink and white curls.

Throughout the month of October, a portion of the sales of the “Hope MORE” cupcake will continue to go directly to numerous breast cancer charities.  Enjoy a ?Pink? White Velvet cupcake and hope MORE for a cure.”

Score MORE, Win MORE, Want MORE
Chicago is witnessing a once-in-a-lifetime event with two hometown baseball teams in the Playoffs and MORE is in on the action. The day of, or the day following a Cubs or Sox win, customers decked out in the winning Chicago team’s garb are invited to visit MORE (One E. Delaware St., Chicago, IL). With a purchase of six cupcakes, the decked-out fan will receive a free

“MORE” cupcake.*
The “MORE” is a delectable and decadent chocolate cupcake, filled with housemade marshmallow, and iced with a silky chocolate ganache, fast becoming a favorite flavor at this newly opened Gold Coast bakery.

While the teams score more and win more, the fans score MORE and win MORE, and will of course, want MORE. This promotion will run for the duration of the playoffs as long as a Chicago team stays in, which leaves the fans only one option: don your favorite team apparel, cheer on your team, watch them score and get thee to MORE!

* A customer wearing both Sox and Cub attire at the time of a six-cupcake purchase does not grant him or her two free cupcakes, just two times the opportunity to gloat.

Vote MORE
Starting now until the November 4 Presidential election, MORE will take a bipartisan view and feature both “Obama” and “McCain” cupcakes. Both cupcakes are a rich, cocoa-embodied red velvet cupcake, topped with the signature MORE cream cheese frosting.  The only difference between them lies in the simple star propped upon the pillows of frosting. Cast your vote.  A red star cupcake represents your vote the McCain-Palin ticket, while a blue star cupcake represents a Obama-Biden vote.

With their Presidential Cupcakes, MORE encourages customers to “Vote Early and Vote MORE” as they will be tracking the sale of each Presidential cupcake and updating the results; a mouth-watering Gallup Poll indeed. MORE employees will also be donning the trademarked “Vote MORE” t-shirts which will be available for politically-minded customers to purchase and sport while snacking on their favored Party’s cupcake. If only the actual vote tasted this good.

Free! Friday Giveaway: Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker

Giveaway from Mama Manifesto!

The Cupcake Maker ($29.99) comes with everything your child needs to mix, bake, and decorate the cupcakes: a tiny mixing bowl, measuring spoon, water dropper, and miniature spatula for mixing the batter and frosting; a microwaveable container for baking the cupcakes; and a cupcake frosting gadget with a shape reminiscent of a KitchenAid standing mixer. And everything your little chef needs to get started is packaged in chic, girl-pleasing, contemporary pastels. Free Cupcakes! This Sunday in Oakland, Calif.

Posted by on Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Yes you heard right! Free cupcakes! A whole bunch of them! Thanks Stephany! She posted the info below:

Work has been a bit wild and crazy these last few days as we’re gearing up for the annual Out and About in Rockridge Festival this Sunday. Our store hosts a Picnic in the Street at the festival every year, giving away tons of treats and talking to folks about food. This will be my first year working the event, and I’m excited to be manning the cupcake table. We’re having a kids cupcake decorating station, and I’ll be on hand to help them frost and sprinkle their own little cakes. And I’m pretty sure no one will turn you away if you’re over 18 and want to have some fun too.
I made forty pounds worth of vanilla frosting yesterday! Good heavens it was impressive to look at. We’re going to have 250 each vanilla and chocolate cakes, with both vanilla and chocolate frosting. It’s the largest amount of cupcakes I’ve made in one go. I’m a little sad that I won’t be getting there until the last few hours of the event (due to having to work my other job in the morning), but hopefully I’ll still get to help lots of kids have fun. What could be better than helping them make cupcakes? I mean really…
So if you’re in the Bay Area come on by. We’re also giving away turnovers for the more savory folk. I’d recomend the chicken, its yummy. The spinach on the other hand…. just don’t choose than unless you LOVE mint in your savory food.
