Are you throwing a Halloween party this year? If you are, I think now’s the time to hurry and get your inviations out. I really like these Halloween cupcakes and cocktails invites from Etsy seller Flair Designery. I like that the invitations incorporate cupcakes but still have a grown up feel to them and they are affordable; the set of 24 invitations costs $24.00.

Over the years Halloween has become one of my favorite holidays. I love the cooler weather, the colors and decorations, and most importantly the desserts. If I was going to a Halloween party this year I would without a doubt be making these buried skeleton cupcakes! I can just see little boys loving and little girls being grossed out by these cupcakes with decapitated skeletal parts! These cupcakes are actually pretty easy to make once you find the little skeletons. Add crushed chocolate wafers to your chocolate frosted cupcakes and you have the dirt. For detailed directions visit Holidash!

Do you send Halloween cards to loved ones who live far away? Or since this year Halloween is on a Monday will you be putting a card is a little ones lunch box? I think this Halloween cupcake greeting card is really fun and it’s available for $3.50 from Rock Scissors Paper. The outside asks “Trick or Treat?” and the inside says “Definitely a treat! Happy Halloween.” I would pick a treat, especially a cupcake, over a trick any day!

I found this baby cupcake costume at my local Marshalls. It’s really cute and would look great on a little baby, not to mention it’s only $12.99. While there is not guarantee that your Marshalls will have the costume, my store has several so hopefully yours will too!

While I was browsing Target.com, as I often do, I stumbled upon this remarkable cupcake find for Halloween! A few days ago another contributer here at ATC posted about a children’s cupcake costume at Kohl’s, which is super cute! For those of you that wished Kohl’s had offered this adorable children’s costume in adult sizes, like myself, and desire to dress as a giant cupcake this Halloween well thanks to Target here it is…

If anyone I know decides to throw a Halloween party this year I will be purchasing this to wear! I will add that Target states this is an online only item so I am betting it will go fast! Order yours now before it’s gone!

I agree with Carrie from Half Baked, I’m not a fan of rushing the holiday season but since Halloween products have been out since August I am ready for fall and Halloween! I love these cupcake liner witch hats that Carrie came up with. I usually choose decorations that are simple, easy, timesaving and impressive. These witch hats are just that, there is no labor intensive decorating involved. The complete instructions are on Half Baked and by complete I mean 5 steps!

Is it to early or have you started thinking about what you and your little ones are going to be for Halloween? Kohl’s already has Halloween items in their stores and online. I noticed this cupcake costume for little girls that costs $40.49. Only two sizes are left, 3-4 and 5-6 so if you’re thinking about ordering this, don’t wait!

In addition to being the unofficial end to summer, Labor Day must also be the day by which retailers aim to have their Halloween merchandise out. I noticed this weekend that most stores are ready for Halloween, which is still two months away! My sister just sent me a picture of these Halloween cupcake place-mats from Christmas Tree Shop. Since you can’t buy directly from The Christmas Tree’s website if you are interested in these it looks like you will have to go shopping!

It happens every year, most people have just barely finished their back to school shopping and stores already have their Halloween merchandise out. That is how I found out about these $10.00 Halloween decorative cupcakes that my mom spotted at her local TJMaxx/Homegoods and shared with me via text . While it seems early to be buying Halloween decorations (it’s not even fall yet), I will admit that I am ready for some pumpkin cupcakes!

LGM cupcakes
I remain an enthusiastic fan of Disney’s Toy Story series and its LGMs (the “Little Green Men”). Here is the classic out-take of LGMs with “the claw.”
Needless to say, this recipe for LGM cupcakes is a keeper in my book.
In fact, this Disney family website has an entire section of recipes with several terrific cupcake recipes such as Lightning McQueen from “Cars,” Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” Owl from “Winnie-the-Pooh,” panda bears from “Mulan,” and more.

Only three days left until Valentine’s Day and today I wanted to share with the most amazing Valentine cupcakes yet. This link comes to me from my sweet friend Nicole who is always on the lookout for amazing cuppies. Take a look at these chocolate cupcakes with flaming strawberries from Sprinkle Bakes.

The flame is made by hollowing out a strawberry and pouring in a small amount of Vodka, rum, or your choice of liquor 80 proof or higher before it is set aflame. Click here to read the full directions in their post.
Click the comment area below and leave a link to your favorite Valentine recipe!

Happy Halloween Everyone!
Today I thought I would bring you three great last minute Halloween Cupcake ideas! You may have heard of it already, but Zilly Rosen recently released her book Zombie Cupcakes in the UK. It is coming to America soon, but the best news is that you don’t have to wait as Made for Moms features three ideas complete with recipe and decoration directions! There are the Zombie Rising Chocolate Mud Cakes, the Brain Food Honey Cupcakes and last but not least the Bludgeon to Survive Pumpkin Cupcakes. Check out each of them by clicking on the links.
My favorite? I can’t go past the Bludgeon to Survive cupcakes shown here, especially as you need to make crowbars, baseball bats and shovels!
But alas, I have already made my cupcakes for this year, zombies with with chocolate ganache filling! Yummy!

If you are completely done with all the traditional Halloween cupcakes, of ghosts, witches and pumpkins and are looking for something very different, why not take your inspiration from PepsiNZ and create horror movie cupcakes!
She went all out creating heaps of different cupcakes, but you could choose your favorite couple and go with a theme! I particularly love this one here!
You can see all the horror movie cupcakes on her website Random Crap here.

If you are, then taking a quick trip across to the Cupcake Cauldron might be the answer for you. Ashley’s blog is a mix of her current creations with a few great cupcake recipes thrown into the cauldron so to speak! But it is Halloween that she does best, and here are two of her creations.
These show how much magic you can create by just adding a topper! Of course the cupcake flavor choice is all important as well. Ashley has used vanilla cake with fudge frosting for Pumpkin and for Skull she used a devil’s food cake with a mini peanut butter cup on the inside and peanut butter frosting on top.
Can’t believe Halloween is now just over a week away!
