I admit, I started laughing when I saw these. Actually, I’m still laughing. This might be cupcake-love gone too far. Effervescent Cupcake Drink Tablets. Just drop one of these babies into your glass of water and voila, you have bubbly cupcake-flavored water. I just don’t know why anyone would want his or her water to taste like a cupcake. Wouldn’t it be easier to just eat a cupcake? The manufacturers urge us not to limit ourselves to water though, claiming that the tablets also work well in milk, juice, and soda. Gross! Although, I can remember a few times in college when these little buggers would have come in handy, but we won’t go there. I can’t seem to get enough of Etsy! I love the creative items and the sellers! My sister is owed the credit for finding this Cupcake Cuties Candle Holder. For $16.00 you get one sweet little candle holder that looks like a head.  Once placed onto a frosted and decorated cupcake the cupcake takes on the appearance of a doll! I love the concept!

So you are planning the best birthday bash, the most wonderful wedding?  Have you organized great music, food, a perfect venue and have fantastic cupcakes planned for the occasion?  So after all this planning and preparation you know that your guests are going to remember your party for a long time to come!  Right?  Well maybe, but what will help is a visual prompt to take them back to that day!

My daughter is constantly looking at things and recalling the day we got them, like the Mothers day shopping list stuck to our fridge.  She tells me about buying it for me every second morning when she sees it!

To create your own visual prompt why not add a magnet to your party invite or to your party favor bag / box?  This could be the perfect thing for people to remember the date of an upcoming party and the fun they have had long after the event.  I found these in our ATC sponsor’s store Diva Entertains and just had to share them with you.  You personalize them with what ever you want to say, choose the background color (where applicable) and presto.

Wow, these lingerie cupcakes are lookin’ good.  I’ll be sure to keep Look Cupcake in mind next time I hear someone needs treats for their bachelorette party! They’re stuff isn’t cheap, but it’s conveniently located next door to me in Seattle (on Queen Anne Hill) and you cannot beat their presentation. Too bad they only do events – if they had a storefront, I’d stop by to see if these taste as good as they look!

I thought these little guys were just charming as all get out. They were made up by Bittersweet Bakery for a little boy’s first birthday party.  Bittersweet is an outfit out in Chicago that has a full menu and does cakes and cupcakes for events like weddings and wee little birthday parties.

I personally am a fan of themed parties and  who could resist an unbrithday party?  Found via Oh Joy!, the pictures from Adele’s 10 year old daughter’s party look like as much fun as a tea party with the real mad hatter would be.  Both adults and children dressed up like the characters and enjoyed what look like delicious cupcakes! An unbirthday party would also be the perfect time to make the Alice in Wonderland cupcakes we shared with you.

The Meringue Bake Shop of Placentia, California is celebrating the 4th in creative style with cupcake kabobs!  They almost look too sweet to be true.  Click here for a complete tutorial on how to make your own kabobs!  I am thinking these would be fun for the winter holidays as well (of course, with a slightly different color scheme)!

Last week I discovered environmentally friendly cupcakes and the Build a Green Bakery in New York, and I got to thinking about how you can think green with your baking at home, or should I say brown?

Most cupcake liners are bleached and waxed, making them perfect for all our party needs, but when I am at home and need a fix, do I really care if the wrapper has colored polka dots on it? Lets face it, the little wrapper no matter how cute is going to end up in the bin anyway!  As long as my cupcake tastes good, I’m happy.

Unfortunately the eco-friendly options in Australia are limited so for now when I want a green cupcake, it will need to cook in its ‘birthday suit’ opposed to its ‘birthday wrapper’!  However in America, two companies produce these little brown babies; If You Care and Beyond Gourmet.

Understandably, they are well ‘brown’ and yes, a bit ‘boring’, so for those times when you need something a little more fancy, Green Party Goods has a number of different green options for home baking and display!  One great option they offer is the eco-cupcake stand, because who really looks at what the stand is made of? Especially when it looks so good decorated with a little bit of ribbon.

Hello Hanna has created these sweet stands, perfect for displaying cupcakes!  They are easy to assemble with no gluing or cutting necessary.  For $10.95 you get a pack of 6 white stands made from recycled paper.

A while back I had seen the picture, shown above, of garland by Petunia that was made using cupcake liners.  Sadly directions were not included and I, unfortunately, am the type that needs to follow instructions when it comes to crafts.  Then today I came across a new (new for me) website, 100 Layer Cake.  The site has the cute tag line, “crafting your wedding layer by layer” which means they have lots of great DIY tutorials.  One of these tutorials is for cupcake liner garland which of course you can use for any occasion, not just weddings!

These are so cool!  Oh my gosh, I just have to try this!  I don’t have much of a green thumb, but these “plants,” I can handle!
