I got a text message from CM Punk last Tuesday letting me know that not only did he get a cupcake tattoo that afternoon, but he also declares 2009 “Year of the Cupcake.” The first tattoo photo (taken with his Sidekick) was pretty bad so last night I asked him for a new one. This one’s better, believe it or not, and he said Shawn Michaels took it, which makes it even more awesome.

You may recall the Sugar Slam bake off I hosted a few months ago- Punk picked a Pepsi cupcake as the winner not only because it was named after him, but also because it wasn’t really frosted. What kind of frosting hater gets a cupcake tattoo?

 i’m a HUGE fan of your website. i own/run a very small cupcake and chocolate business out of my home called cupcake catastrophies to help pay my way through culinary school. i was so happy when i found your website because that meant that i was not alone in my unnatural obsession with cupcakes. lol. so about 2 months ago i started a new tattoo piece on my leg. the theme is sweets and sugarskulls and where best to start but with the cupcake. my roommate is a professional tattoo artist and she did it for me. i will be getting some zombie cupcakes on my arms to add to my sleeves soon but until then here’s my beautiful cupcake! thanks guys!!!!

I have waited 2 years to get mine since I found out I was pregnant right before I could get it and then I nursed my darling daughter for a year as well. Mikey Sarratt at Intense Creations in Tempe, Az did it and he has done practically all my tattoos. He is amazing! My tattoo is supposed to resemble my older daughter who is 5 1/2 and she is holding onto the cupcake in one hand and a purple umbrella in the other. Sprinkles are raining down in the background. I’m a big fan of “all things cupcake”, and a few weeks ago got myself a cupcake tattoo!!!! I researched it for months and designed two different ones before I settled on the one I got. Several of the tattoos on your page inspired my design.
I bake cupcakes almost every weekend and I’m always experimenting with different recipes (you can see some of them here: angel’s mind (cupcake tag) and some more here angel’s photos (cupcake tag)… I just need to remember to photograph them all!!!
I love visiting ATC for ideas and to drool over all the cupcake goodies… I now also have a cupcake apron for when I bake!!!

Bobbi’s tattoo was done by BC Smith at XTC Tattoo Studio in Flint, Michigan.  It was based on her own drawing, which was very cartoon-ish, BC altered it a little to make it more realistic-looking.  Also, this is a cell phone picture, in person it’s 100 times more amazing!
