You can never go wrong with cupcake clothes for kids, especially if combines cupcakes and classic comic characters. Have you looked at Disney’s Family Fun website recently? They have some seriously awesome cupcake ideas! Two of my favorites are the Night Owls, pictured above, which are perfect for the up coming graduation season. I love the big owl sitting on a branch of pretzels and the little baby owls surrounding.

I’m very excited to share today’s posts. For several years now my sister and I have wanted Toms, a pair of shoes that are popular here on the college scene. 
Toms are unique in that for every pair of shoes you buy the company donates a pair of shoes to a child in need. Last month at a special event held by Bevello, a small chain clothing boutique here in North Carolina I finally got my Toms! One weekend in early April Bevello provided customers the opportunity to have customs Toms designed by local artists. I immediately jumped at the chance to have a pair of Toms that no one else would have and knew exactly what I wanted to have drawn on mine. I had to have cupcakes of course! I have yet to own shoes with cupcakes and so I went ahead and ordered by shoes. Sadly the day I went to Bevello at Blakeney, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the artist was not there. I ended up blindly ordering my Toms without having seen any work by the artist. Three weeks later I picked up my shoes and was pleasantly surprised by what I found inside the box. I am a huge fan of Real Simple since they always have great recipes, tips, and ideas. I love this simple cupcake decorating idea where the cupcake is topped with cotton candy and called a sticky fingers cupcake! Such an easy idea that takes a basic frosted cupcake to the next level. Real Simple suggests a vanilla cupcake but you could always go for the extra sweetness and make a cotton candy flavored cupcake! Don’t forget to look at the 9 other ideas including S’more and PBJ!

Almost everyone loves Hello Kitty, so today I thought I’d display a great Hello Kitty Cupcake set of nine cupcakes from Ipoet on Flickr. The most stunning piece is the fondant modelling of the family, but if you look in the foreground of the image you can see pillow like hello kitty heads. They look great and would not be too difficult to create.
I must say that cupcakes are one of the hardest baked goods to transport. They have to be separated individually so they frosting doesn’t get ruined and its really hard to stack cupcakes one on top of the other without ending up with smashed cupcakes! As we all know there are tons of different types of cupcake holders out there to fix this dilemma. But I must say that this is the most creative one that I have seen and the most fun.

I am a fan of art that is simple and somewhat minimalist which is why I love this print by UUPP. I just read this blog post, “Shopping with Peanut,” at one of my favorite blogs, There’s Just One Mommy. It just warmed my heart so much that I had to pass it on to you. I’m a sucker for little girls and cupcakes, what can I say?
Lately I have had the urge to be crafty! Maybe it’s because of all the awesome websites and blogs out there or because final exams have ended for me and I now have a short summer break, giving me free time for projects. One project on my to-do list is individual cupcake stands like the ones Diary of a Ladybird provides instructions for on her website. The material list is nice and short only requiring superglue, a small/shallow bowl, and an egg cup. The directions are equally easy with the most time consuming part of the project involving waiting for the glue to dry. Check out her original post for the instructions and pictures.

Cupcakes should not only taste delicious, but should look appealing and exciting too. To be honest I could show you the yummiest naked cupcake, and well it would look.. boring… truth is, these days every book is judged by its cover, and every cupcake by its decoration. But that doesn’t mean to say that a cupcake can just look good, because although we show you only a few dimensions, when you bake it up, you bring something we never can… that third dimension… taste…
Now I cannot really speak for these hazelnut cupcakes, as I am yet to bake them myself. I love hazelnuts, but as yet haven’t quite had time… but these caramel stringy amazing hazelnut decorations… well they look amazing, so if you want to make an impact, they are a definite YES!… and if you try out the cupcake, let us know if it tastes as good as it looks!

Do you live in New York? Well, if you live anywhere near Gardiner, you are in for a treat. Literally. The third annual Gardiner Cupcake Festival will take place on Sunday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It’s a cupcake-themed block party! More than a dozen professional cupcake vendors will be there, including: Moxie Cupcakes, Deisings Bakery, Wright’s Farm, and Bettie’s Cakes.
There will also be an amateur cupcake contest! Four awards will be given: prettiest, most delicious, most creative, and best in show. To enter, all you need to do is drop off your cupcakes between 10:45 and 12:15. Bring 4 or more cupcakes to the Cupcake Contest Tent, which is next to the HiHo Home Market at 132 Main Street. Found these AWESOME cupcakes today by the super talented Solange Queiroz! Aren’t they fantastic! I love this idea and it would be brilliant for a sixties party or a musical themed party… I can just imagine these four cupcakes atop a cupcake tower with all the other cupcakes decorated with screaming girl faces!
Cupcake Kids is not your traditional bake sale. These kids are baking, decorating, and selling cupcakes to raise money and awareness for SixtyFeet, an organization dedicated to helping the impoverished children of Uganda.
It all started in 2010, when a 6 year old girl and her 4 year old brother in Atlanta asked their parents if they could sell some cupcakes to raise money for SixtyFeet. Those two kids (with some help from mom) raised $260! Because they shared their mission with their shoppers, they ended up selling cups of lemonade for $25. The very next weekend, there were sales all over Georgia and in several other states. Cupcake Kids went viral.
As of today, The Cupcake Kids have raised more than $44,000 to help kids on the other side of the world. That’s a lot of cupcakes! Everyone is invited to join in the fun and host their own Cupcake Kids bake sale. You can find the details here.

I tossed up today between Gin (yes please!), Ginseng (dubious for a cupcake) and the ever versatile, Ginger! And in the end Ginger won! And why wouldn’t it, perfect for the sweet dessert or for the main course, pickled, candied, ground or raw, it has a million and one uses, so it is only to be expected to find it somewhere in the kitchen!
This particular recipe I have chosen today uses ground ginger and candied ginger, and looks amazing to boot! The recipe inspired by crockery is from the great baking website Not Quite Nigella! I’m sure you’ll agree, they look pretty darn pretty in their Queen of Hearts styling!
