I just found the coolest blog! The blog ingeniously brings together two of my favorite things: books and cupcakes! Now, why didn’t I think of that! Blogger Becky rates books, giving them 1-5 cupcakes. How cute is that? Now, why didn’t I think of that? Happiness is a good book and a freshly frosted cupcake! Brilliant!

Since it has been freezing outside here in North Carolina and Christmas is right around the corner, it seems like the perfect time to bake Gingerbread Cupcakes! I came across this recipe which has been adapted from Land O Lakes by Baked By Rachel. My favorite part of these cupcakes might be that Rachel topped them with little gingerbread men cookies. Rachel kept her cupcakes simple by not decorating the gingerbread men but you could easily add some flare to your cupcake and decorate the cookies as well.

This clear graphic cupcake cuff bracelet costs only $25.00 from BuyMyCrap’s etsy page. The banner surrounding the cupcake reads “Sweet Stuff.” I feel like with the stars and skulls it looks kind of punk but is still girly and sweet at the same time!

If you are looking for the coolest winter cupcakes this year, look no further than Shereen’s Cakes and Bakes in the UK. As you can tell with my liberal gushing I am blown away by these. She has created cupcakes which are seriously ice cold ‘cool’ with snowboarders and skiers in this first set. These vanilla cupcakes are completely edible as are her funky fondant snow dudes!

And very cute fun loving penguins in this second set. These cupcakes incidentally won her the Tesco Cupcake Competition. Seriously if I saw these cupcakes up against mine, I would just slide them back into my bag and walk away. These penguins are amazing!

Hello all my fellow cupcake lovers out in Cupcake Land! Did anyone happen to catch the newest episode of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network last Tuesday at 9pm? I haven’t had the chance to watch it, but I didn’t even know that there was a new season of Cupcake Wars going on until I was channel flipping yesterday.
Here is a look at the contestants from the premiere last week — Cupcake Wars Competitors (Tree Lighting) (if you follow this link it shows you who the winner is)

Check out one of the winning cupcake recipes right here — Chocolate Peanut Butter Ball Cupcake

Enjoy the season everyone!

You may recall earlier in the week we showed you examples of a fantastic set up for a Cupcake Birthday Party, but since then we have received a number of requests asking how that adorable little cupcake beanie was made!
Well now we can share the answer, which is Teresa’s ‘The Art of Crochet‘ website.
There is a load of information on this site about all things crochet, but the instructions for this beanie (in adult size) are all available on one page along with video instructions teaching you how to make each and every crochet stitch!
Unfortunately there is no pattern for a child, but you can just make the cupcake wrapper smaller to fit a smaller head and not put as many rounds on your cupcake topping!
All the instructions and video can be found here ‘How to crochet a Cupcake Hat’. Also they would make a great cupcake gift for Xmas!

This jumbo cupcake magnet can be found at Accoutrements. They recommend it for a fridge or filing cabinet, but because it is so HUGE, I’m thinking it would look pretty cool on my car.

A few weeks ago I posted a makeup giveaway from Cake Mineral Make-up and I was amazed by the amount of interest we had. And it got me thinking, why would cupcake obsessed people also be in love with makeup? Well, makeup can be fun, pretty and make you feel good- just like a cupcake. Makeup allows you to be creative- just like a cupcake. (Of course, it probably also helps that the majority of our readers are woman too!) So why not pair these two unlikely loves more often?

I love this super easy DIY cupcake topper idea. One Charming Party call’s them Jackson Pollock cupcake toppers since they resemble the abstract art created by Pollock. All you need to create these simple decorations are candy melts, ziplock or disposable pasty bags, and wax paper. Then follow the three steps below to create your own unique toppers.

1. Melt candy melts in a glass bowl in the microwave. Spoon the melted candy melts into disposable frosting bags.
2. Cut the tip of the bag a tiny bit to allow the melted candy melts to get out.
3. Make random paint splatters onto wax paper. Let them cool. Place on top of your cupcakes.

They are pretty hard to miss! Maybe it is the lovely smell that wafts from their open windows, or the people who have formed a queue at some random corner of town, or maybe it is their bright bubblegum pink color? Whatever the case, the cupcake truck has become a part of our day to day lives and you may even find yourself wondering how you managed without them!
One such company is Simply Cupcakes of Naples, bringing New York style cupcakes to the streets of Florida. And why not? There is such a large market in people who just don’t have the time to get to their local cupcake store! Having had a foot inside the cupcake kitchen since 2006, it is no wonder Simply Cupcakes of Naples are proving successful with everything they touch, including delivered cupcakes!
Have you tried a Simply Cupcakes cupcake? If not, simply keep an eye out for this snazzy cupcake van, their white and pink van or alternatively call them to book a delivery.

You can follow Simply Cupcakes of Naples on both Facebook and Twitter.

So I know that we here at ATC seem to be obsessed with Christmas Ornaments in the shape of Cupcakes, who wouldn’t be? But these ones have to be the cutest and most original cupcake ornaments I have ever seen!
They come in 2 different sizes, mini and large as well as many different colors. They are one of a kind, not one is the same.
Cupcake Ornaments from Kiwi and Kiki’s Etsy Shop.

My daughter is three and a half, and has reached the stage where she “needs” a band-aid for everything. Stubs her toe, needs a band-aid. Bumps her head, demands a band-aid. So I am NOT buying her these clever bandages because the entire package wouldn’t last a day.
But maybe you’ll have better luck with your daughter. These cute first aid supplies can be found at Amazon for $3.33.

One of readers Traci recently sent in photos of her daughter’s first birthday party and she took their chosen theme ‘cupcakes’ to the extreme! Traci indicated that All Things Cupcake provided much of her inspiration, but I have to say she has provided me with all the inspiration I need to organize my daughter’s 6th birthday party next year. Megan has been longing for a cupcake party, and there is no way you can get more cupcakey than this!
The first photo is of their create a cupcake stand! This would be great fun for all children allowing them to frost and then decorate their cupcakes. The awesome little cupcake containers were from the Posh Box on Etsy allowing the guests to take their creations home! And with a bit of ribbon and some buttons, Traci made them so much fun!
