I admit, I started laughing when I saw these. Actually, I’m still laughing. This might be cupcake-love gone too far. Effervescent Cupcake Drink Tablets. Just drop one of these babies into your glass of water and voila, you have bubbly cupcake-flavored water. I just don’t know why anyone would want his or her water to taste like a cupcake. Wouldn’t it be easier to just eat a cupcake? The manufacturers urge us not to limit ourselves to water though, claiming that the tablets also work well in milk, juice, and soda. Gross! Although, I can remember a few times in college when these little buggers would have come in handy, but we won’t go there. The manufacturers also recommend slipping them into your friend’s beverage when he or she isn’t looking. All Things Cupcake does NOT recommend nor endorse this! You can buy a tin of these at Amazon for only $6.99. Good luck! (Oh, and if you are not grossed out yet, they also come in bacon flavor!)

There are many ways to create a cupcake christmas tree, including using cupcakes on a christmas tree cupcake stand, or what I am talking about today, and that is decorating your regular every Christmas fake or real Christmas tree with cupcake decorations!
Start with heaps of tinsel, and then put up your cupcake Christmas lights if you can get them, if not go with candy cane lights, or failing that normal lights. Then decorate all the rest of your tree with cupcake based ornaments! Here are some cupcake decoration ideas:
- Glass Cupcake Ornaments
- Faux Cupcakes (any design, just add a little ribbon)
- Cupcake pictures adhered to pegs
- Cupcake pictures hung by ribbons
- Felt Cupcake Pouches
- Cupcake wrapper streamers (and don’t limit yourself to the Christmas tree!!!)
Happy decorating!
Oh, and one word of caution, ensure your cupcake lights are safe to use with paper if you are making paper streamers as you don’t want a cupcake bonfire!

This AUD$8.95 notebook has so many elements that I love. It is pink with a bunting banner across the top, and a cupcake that’s almost as big as the bird that’s looking at it on a pocket on the front cover.

Additionally, I like that there are other items that match this notebook. I personally like the pencil case that costs AUD$16.95 and is in the same color pink. There are additional items on the Kikki.K website that correlate with these two items.

There are so many amazingly creative people out there who have grabbed hold of the cupcake craze, but instead of whipping up a tornado of flour and sugar in their kitchens have taken their ideas to the craft room.
One such person is Vanda, who is author of the blog Thingies. Here she experiments with many things crafty including these fantastic FabriCupcakes. My immediate thought is to stick pins in their plush tops, as they would make an awesome pin cushion, but as Vanda explained to me, lots of kids love these because they can decorate them with eyes and smiles and you can even hang them as the perfect soft mobile for babies!
For me, I think they are super cute!

Bird Craft: Party Supplies and Printable Fun! offers a tutorial on how to make these easy paper cupcake stands. All you need to do is download the template from her website and follow these three easy steps:
1. Print your template onto patterned cardstock or print onto standard A4 paper and transfer it to a material of your choice later – You can use MDF, cardboard, polystyrene sheets, coloured cardstock etc…
2. Then cut the parts and slot the feet together, fixing with a dot of hot glue if necessary. Its quite self-explanatory when you look at the pictures…
3. Add some more hot glue onto the feet and place the stand top on, pressing firmly.
Not only do I love how easy these are to make but I like that you can customize them to suite your needs. If you have a simple stand you can make your cupcake decorations more involved. If your stand has a busy pattern then you can add a cupcake with minimal decorations. Since the holiday party season has begun you could easily make the stands to match the holiday you are celebrating!

Its that time of year again! Less than a month until Christmas day and you have to buy presents for all those people in your life and more often than not, you have no idea what to get!
Well here are a few cupcake ideas for a cupcake inspired Christmas!
First is a cupcake clutch, this one was spotted by Rebecca A. Cooper in Periwinkle boutique at Shirlington and is USD $52 plus tax. The patent bag is super cute with its embossed cupcake! See more here.
For kids, you cannot really go past this year’s best seller, the Squinkies and their Cupcake Surprise Bake Shop from Blip Toys! You can pick this one up for just USD $39.99 from Amazon and it is currently in stock (though only just).
Or how about something a little more strange? Like Angel Heart Design’s Cupcake Chandelier? This white iron chandelier comes with three cupcake lights and is USD $145.00. You can also have a say in the color of your cupcakes!
Or play it safe with body products like these adorable little cupcake soaps from Ditsy Daisies. They are just GBP 8.50 and come in three flavors, or should that be smells!?
Then don’t forget, if they bake there are heaps of ideas around, such as cupcake liners, wrappers and toppers, not to mention cupcake books and baking trays!

This $20.00 cupcake pincushion ring is both cute and functional! It’s made entirely from wool and even includes the pins. What better way to craft then wearing a cupcake? And the best part is that you have the pin already in your hand!

When I was growing up I always loved when we had make-your-own ice cream sundaes at school. So naturally I loved the idea of a DIY Cupcake Topping Bar. This Build It cupcake bar was featured on Green Wedding Shoes and is based on a fall theme. I really love the idea of a topping bar because it allows guests to create their own unique cupcake!
For this cupcake bar, the cupcakes were frosted with a ring so that the toppings, which included syrups in vintage syrup dispensers, could be added to the whole in the middle. I especially liked the idea of using mini hallowed out pumpkins to serve as “bowls” for a toppings, such as sprinkles. The possibilities of toppings for cupcakes seem endless which means you could get really creative with what you put out for guest to top their cupcakes with.

Anthropologie is without a doubt one of my favorite stores. I love these Clothbound Penguin Classics For Children. According to the website’s description, “the revered books of childhood and adolescence are now bound in a brightly colored, smartly embossed canvas covers to add that much more excitement to their enduring stories”
There are six books available, each costing $16.99. The one cupcake lovers will be most tempted to buy is Anne of Green Gables which has a pink cover with cupcakes, ribbons, butterflies, teapots and teacups.

Today I have two new cupcake tattoos to share with you and these are both fantastic!
The first one here is from Kiana. She had her cupcake tattoo with stars done by Rob at Electric Body Art in Marietta, GA.
It is a large tattoo on the right hand side of her tummy.
The next one is from Ida in Austria and it is also just above her hip.
The colors of this are fantastic, a thick swirl of strawberry frosting on a vanilla cupcake in a bright blue wrapper.
Thanks to both Kiana and Ida for sending in their cupcake tattoos.

It is so hard keeping up with which movie is being released where and when! In Australia last weekend marked the opening of the Harry Potter movie “The Deathly Harrows (Part 1)”. So in order to celebrate its release I went looking for some cool and funky Harry Potter cupcakes!
Not surprisingly I found some! I totally adore these cupcakes from Sara Schneider on Flickr! How cool and fun are they?
