Hi ATC!  This year, we had a cupcake themed party for my daughter’s second birthday.  Attached is a photo of her cupcake cake and cupcakes made by my sister-in-law Kate.  Every year she makes her nieces and nephews whatever cake they wish and this year she outdid herself.

Thanks for sharing. Everything looks awesome!

Black Bottom Cupcakes from George’s Bakery & Deli

Located in Middle River, Maryland, George’s Bakery & Deli has served the surrounding Chase and Bowley’s Quarters area since 2005!

One of their specialties is their black bottom cupcake, which is made a little differently than those you’re used to seeing in other bakeries.

I was lucky enough to try them out. They shipped beautifully! They are so heavenly! I love chocolate, and I was so pleased that they are chocolately and not too rich.

Please visit George’s Bakery & Deli for more information.

ATC Reader Nancy just sent us these photos and this email…

I just discovered your fabulous site and have spent the last several hours catching up on posts and emailing them to friends and family like crazy.  I LOVE cupcakes.  Not sure if you post stuff like this regularly, but I thought I would pass along pictures of my wedding cupcake stand, especially as it was an April wedding and had a “cherry blossom” color scheme.  They were from Tracy’s Divine Desserts in Milwaukee, WI. So happy I found this blog!

Thank you for sharing your wedding cupcakes with us Nancy. They are beautiful!

Heart Cupcakes. No, I mean heart-hearts.

How scary sweet are these cupcakes from Debbie Goard of Debbie Does Cakes? Just in time for Valentine’s Day, too! Debbie, who you’ve probably seen on a Food Network Challenge or two, says she’s trying to phase out cupcakes but she couldn’t resist this special wedding request.

Here’s wishing the happy couple a life together as beautiful, weird and amazing as these cupcakes!

Mini Red Velvet

One of my co-workers made mini red velvet cupcakes yesterday for her class, so I decided to take advantage of this cupcake opportunity and take some photos for you all. She used Paula Deen’s recipe but swapped in another recipe for the cream cheese frosting. The cakes were delicious little bites; thanks Marina for sharing them with the staff!

Dark chocolate vegan cupcakes

Posted by on Friday, February 13th, 2009

ATC Reader Heather sent us this email and photo of her Dark chocolate vegan cupcakes…

I made these vegan cupcakes on Friday because I was having a dinner party and one of the guests is lactose-intolerant. I got the recipe on RecipeZaar and they were delicious. No one could tell that they weren’t just regular cupcakes, and they came out very professional-looking as well, especially with the raspberries. I had never made anything vegan before so I was a little nervous, but they were so good and cute, I just loved them!

Thanks for sharing your cupcakes with us Heather. They look very delicious!

We received this photo and email from ATC Reader & Fat and Happy Confections – owner Jennifer…

I just love your website and all the wonderful site it has led me too (especialy the cupcake bandaids).  I own a bakery with my friend and my daughter is cupcake obsessed!  When I asked my 7 year old daughter Madison what she wanted to be for Halloween this past year (2008) she of course, wanted to be a cupcake.  My mother, Janice Cope, always made my costumes when I was a kid, so she tackeled this one.  I have attached a photo for you.  If you would like, I can send basic directions on how this was made.

Keep up the great website!  We love it!!!

Thank you for sharing this costume with us! She’s a very cute cupcake! ;)

Lyndsay’s Cupcake Tattoo

Posted by on Saturday, November 15th, 2008

We received this email with pictures from ATC reader Lyndsay.

“First of all…..I LOVE YOUR WEBSITE! I sit in front of the computer for hours looking at it. I stumbled upon it while researching cupcake tattoos. I have waited 2 years to get mine since I found out I was pregnant right before I could get it and then I nursed my darling daughter for a year as well. So I wanted to share it with you and hopefully you can put it up on your website. I just had it done on Friday the 7th and couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. Mikey Sarratt at Intense Creations in Tempe, Az did it and he has done practically all my tattoos. He is amazing! My tattoo is supposed to resemble my older daughter who is 5 1/2 and she is holding onto the cupcake in one hand and a purple umbrella in the other. Sprinkles are raining down in the background. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”

We received this email with pictures from ATC reader Lyndsay. Thank you for sharing your tattoo with us. It’s so awesome!

Posted by on Saturday, November 8th, 2008

We received this photo and email from ATC Reader Andreah…

“I am absolutely in love with cupcakes! I have a tattoo, Christmas ornaments, dishes, lip gloss, a tattoo, and I was a cupcake for Halloween. I looked on the ATC site for an idea of how to make a cupcake costume and found directions! So thanks for that. I made a few changes to make it my own. My step sister didn’t have a costume and went as my baker, with matching baker hat and oven mitt! Hope you enjoy the pic.”

Thanks for sharing Andreah! Your costume is so cute!

Ruby the Cupcake

Katie Skelton’s Photos – Ruby Cupcake

We received this email and photo from ATC Readers Katie, Garth & Ruby…

“Just wanted to share a picture of our baby girl Ruby’s first Halloween costume. I searched high and low and couldn’t find a cupcake costume so I went ahead and made it myself. I made the top out of fleece and pillow stuffing and glued felt polka dots for sprinkles. The bottom is made from two metal hoops with chocolate brown corduroy stretched over them.

Ruby is 8.5 months old and can’t eat candy so instead of trick or treating we went to each of our neighbors and handed out cupcakes!”

Awww! Thanks for sharing! She is so cute!
